Ooty - The Queen of Hill Stations

Ooty (or Udhagamandalam) is a beautiful hill station located in the famous Nilgiri Hills in the South-Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It is rightly called the 'Queen of Hill Stations'. It is located at a height of 2,240 mts above sea level.

The town is famous for numerous tea estates. Apart from these, other major attractions are towering mountains, dense forests and sprawling grasslands.

Ooty has a pleasant climate throughout the year. The temperature ranges from -2 degrees in winters to 25 degrees celsius in summers. However, the nights in ooty are extremely chilly during most of the months. You must carry heavy woollens in winter and light woollen in summer.
